STATE OF DESIGN FESTIVAL // Lab 3000 // 2006
The studio was appointed as the designer for the State of Design 2006, a dynamic program of design events, exhibitions, workshops, conferences and seminars showcasing Victorian design. The identity was inspired by the visual language of inkblots which symbolise notions of perception and imagination while serving as stimulus for free association. They reflect a conscious attempt to create imagery that not only engages the design community but also a wider audience. Much can be read into the design, some intentional some accidental yet all perceived in its abstractions.
