COUNTDOWN LEADER // Qube Konstrukt // 2006

What began as a small internal project to create a countdown leader for use in the studio's post-production work became an odyssey of engine design and virtual construction. Inspiration was initially found in the form and function of pre-digital, mechanical flip clocks. In what might be a subconscious metaphor for the studio's working process, the object initially explores numerous forms, frenetically deconstructing and reconfiguring itself. As the object resolves to its final design the countdown begins, on time and in sync. The 3d elements were used to create a self promotional poster illustration.
